
Eduardo Souto de Moura (Oporto, 1952) se licencia en Arquitectura en la Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Oporto. Ha sido profesor de ésta y otras universidades como París-Belville, Harvard, Dublín, Navarra, Zurich y Lausana. Colabora en el estudio de Álvaro Siza entre 1974 y 1979, y establece su propio despacho profesional en Oporto en 1980. Desde entonces, ha concluido más de medio centenar de proyectos en Portugal, España, Italia, Alemania, Reino Unido y Suiza. Entre sus obras destacan el Mercado Municipal de Braga, las Torres Burgo en Oporto o el Estadio Municipal de Braga. Su trabajo ha sido reconocido con galardones como el Premio Pritzker, el FAD de Arquitectura, el Premio I Bienal Iberoamericana o el Premio Pessoa.

Eduardo Souto de Moura (Porto, 1952) graduated in Architecture from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto. He has been a professor at this institution as well as at other universities, including Paris-Belleville, Harvard, Dublin, Navarra, Zurich, and Lausanne.
Between 1974 and 1979, he collaborated with Álvaro Siza’s studio before establishing his own practice in Porto in 1980. Since then, he has completed over fifty projects in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
Some of his most notable works include the Braga Municipal Market, the Burgo Towers in Porto, and the Braga Municipal Stadium. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Pritzker Prize, the FAD Architecture Award, the Ibero-American Biennial Prize, and the Pessoa Prize.
